Properties - Non-stick performance, water and oil repellency
Field-Household
Product used - POLYFLON PTFE - TPM Series
(Tough Coat Enamel for steel plate coating)
Required properties - Non-stick performance, contamination resistance

Material supplier: Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd
The TPM series of POLYFLON PTFE is a tough-coat enamel product which was developed for use with pre-coated steel plates. The fluoroplastic material can be coated using mass-production methods which could not be used for conventional TPM coatings, while losing none of its basic properties (non-stick performance and heat resistance). Gas tables which utilize steel plates that have been coated with this TPM series do not easily become stained with spilled foodstuffs and oils, and can usually be cleaned off simply by wiping. Even hard-to-remove substances can be cleaned off easily with a sponge soaked in water and detergent.
Features of TPM
  1. It can be used by plate manufacturers to coat steel plates on coil-type roll coating production lines. This makes it possible to avoid uneven coating quality, and a large quantity can be processed in a short time.
  2. In contrast to conventional single-coat types which need to be sintered at 380C for 15 minutes, sintering of TPM only needs to be carried out at 400C for a very short 90 seconds.
  3. It lubricates the steel plate itself to greatly improve press forming efficiency.
