【Fluoropolymers】NEOFLON VT-6630

NEOFLON VT-6630 is a fluoropolymer with good mechanical properties at high temperature and higher relative dielectric constant.

NEOFLON VT-6630 is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and vinylidene fluoride.
The glass transition temperature of the general fluororesin is near 100℃ and the mechanical strength significantly drops under the temperature beyond that threshold. However, VT-6630 can be used as a material for seals, gasket and tubes at high temperature which require thermostability as it is designed from a molecule level to suppress the mechanical strength degradation.
In addition, VT-6630 has a higher relative dielectric constant than most resins. Therefore, it can contribute to the downsizing of electronic devices such as film capacitors. VT-6630 can be molded by both extrusion and injection molding methods.
