DAIFREE provides high effective of mold release, few transfer of release agent, high temperature stability and little contamination to the mold surface.
It is also effective in preventing the adhesion of resins to the electronics device encapsulating process and the ascent of flux, oils, etc.
DAIFREE has low surface tension, non-cohesiveness, and oil and water repellent properties that are unique to fluorine-containing compounds. Many types and grades are available to meet the specific needs including silicon free type. |

?UN *2class: Division 3.3(Flash point is 23 and above and the liquid should be 60.5 an d below)*3
*2 UN is an abbreviation referring to:Advisories of the United Nations Speclal Committeeon the Transportation of Hazardous Materials.
*3 The UN dectares that the flash point value of a substance is established through measurement by closed cap test (ISO/R1523).
However, the flash points of our company's products are measured with a tag type of se aling method (JIS-K-2265).
Additional types are available for flexible and ISF urethane foam.
Please direct any inquiries to DAIKIN INDUSTRIES LTD or your local sales agent. |
Method of use
(1) Dilution(aqueous emulsion type)
Ideally use ion exchange water to dilute by 2~10 times, and then stir well so that the concentration becomes uniform.
Dilution(CFC alternative type, Organic Solvent type)
Dilute by 2~10 times in the principal solvent(HCFC-141b or Isooctane, Toluene) and then stir well so that the concentration becomes uniform.
(2) Application method(aqueous emulsion and CFC alternative types)
Apply uniformly using a spray gun, brush or cloth.
Application method(aerosol type)
Hold the can about 20~30cm away from the surface to be sprayed, and then spray lightly so that a thin, uniform film is formed. |
Cleaning the mold
Clean the new mold with acetone or toluene to remove all oil and grease on the mold surface. Slight contamination can be almost completely removed by wiping with IPA(isopropanol). An alkali wash is effective for removing heavier contamination.
(Immerse into a 10% aqueous solution of potassium hydroxide or sodium hydroxide to which a small amount of surface active agent has been added.)
However, alkali washes cannot be used for aluminum molds. |
