Fluoropolymers
Fluoropolymers are widely used in automotives, aircrafts, semiconductors, IT and common household appliances because of their unique non-adhesive and low friction properties as well as their superior heat, chemical and weather resistance and superior electrical properties compared with the other polymers.
They are also used for various semiconductor parts and chemical plants because they are maintenance-free even under severer conditions, and contribute to improving the productivity and purity of products.
Grades and Features of Fluoropolymers
| Type | Main Applications | Molding Process | Features | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| POLYFLON™ PTFE | M-Series | Articles and processed goods (Container and Parts) | General Compression molding | The most commonly demanded fluoropolymer |
| F-Series | Tubes, Membrane | Paste Extrusion molding | Most easily fibrillized under high shear | |
| D-Series | Glass Cloth Impregnation, Binder for batteries | Impregnation, Coating, Rolling by mixing with active material. | Aqueous dispersion Most easily fibrillized under high shear |
|
| NEOFLON™ PFA | AP-Series | Parts for semiconductors (Tube and fitting) Wire Coating |
Injection molding, Extrusion molding | Melt processable Possesses the same properties as PTFE |
| NEOFLON™ FEP | NP-Series | Wire Coating | Injection molding, Extrusion molding | Melt processable Excellent in chemical resistance and electrical properties same as PTFE and PFA |
| NEOFLON™ PCTFE | M-Series | Moisture Proof Film | Compression molding, Extrusion molding |
Melt processable Superior in moisture barrier and mechanical properties |
| NEOFLON™ CPT | LP-Series | Parts for semiconductors (Tubes) | Extrusion molding | Melt processable Superior in low permeability (barrier performance) against various chemical reagents |
| NEOFLON™ ETFE | EP-Series | Wire Coating, Release Film, Roofing Material | Injection molding, Extrusion molding | Melt processable Superior in mechanical properties (tensile strength and tear strength), melt flowability |
| NEOFLON™ EFEP | RP-Series | Fuel tube for automotive | Injection Molding, Extrusion Molding | Melt processable Adheres to other materials Excellent in transparency and processability |
| Optical bonding agent Optodyne™ UV (Liquid in tube) |
bonding agent for optical fibers with refractive index consistency, resistance to heat-shock, water and moisture resistance not offered by existing products | |||
