Oil Hydraulics Division
Expanding the possibilities of power control to advance both industry and daily living

The nature of oil hydraulic technologies

Oil hydraulic technologies enable the delicate control of large forces.
Pascal's law is a physical principle that describes how a small force is changed to a large force. By applying this law, the intensity, velocity, and direction of mechanical forces can be smoothly controlled. This is what oil hydraulic technologies do. Oil hydraulic equipment incorporating these technologies is actively used in a wide variety of industrial fields, from power shovels and other construction machinery to machining tools in factories.
The oil hydraulic technologies used all over the world

We work together with the top manufacturers in the industry to produce more sophisticated oil hydraulic technologies and extend our reach globally.
In 2001 we established two joint venture companies for manufacturing and sales operations, through a tie-up with Sauer-Danfoss Inc., a world leader in construction machinery based in Iowa, U.S.A. In addition to developing new applications for oil hydraulic transmissions for small vehicles, such as farm equipment, the new company will combine Daikin's customer base with the product development and marketing expertise of Sauer-Danfoss to supply markets throughout the world and open up new possibilities in the oil hydraulic equipment business.
