Editorial Policy
This report gives an overview of Daikin's efforts with a focus on the Group's key themes of preventing global warming and developing a diverse workforce.
This site details the Daikin Group's CSR (corporate social responsibility) activities: basic CSR philosophy, performances in FY2006, and plans for the near future. This site summarizes activities that will give you an idea of what Daikin achieved in FY2006. For more details, see the PDF version of the report.
It focuses on those efforts on which the Daikin Group is concentrating its energy and those efforts that we believe are of the most interest to our stakeholders. To improve readability and make the Daikin Group's philosophy and policies more assessable to the general reader, we have included special features on prevention of global warming and workforce diversification through greater hiring of employees with disabilities.
To give a comprehensive understanding of the entire range of activities at Daikin, our social reporting provides a section for each category of stakeholders: customers, employees, business partners, shareholders and investors, and local communities and society.
To ensure an objective assessment of our activities and of this report, and to deepen dialogue with stakeholders, we have included independent, third party opinions.

Note:
When compiling this report on our activities in FY2006, we found some discrepancies after thoroughly examining the data and have corrected them. As a result, some figures are different from those in last year's report. In addition, certain totals are different because figures were rounded off.

What This Report Covers
The 2007 CSR Report covers 98 of the 190 consolidated subsidiaries (of the Daikin Group) as of March 2007, not including O.Y.L. Industries BHD, which Daikin acquired in 2006, and its subsidiaries. However, environmental performance data covers all Daikin Industries, Ltd. bases, 50 domestic subsidiaries, and 18 overseas subsidiaries.
