Raising Motivation by Passing on Work Know-How and Skills
The Daikin Group has a wealth of education programs so that technicians worldwide can continuously improve their skills, and Daikin can continue to bring customers superior products and services.
Part of this is the DAIKIN Global Skills Competition, an event that started in 2004 to encourage the passing on of manufacturing philosophy and skills and to motivate technicians. At the competition, Meisters train mid-level technicians and instructors to acquire the knowledge and skills they need to take over as the next generation of instructors. (Meisters are technicians recognized by Daikin as experts in their field who pass on their seasoned skills to the next generation.)
Daikin's business is growing fast worldwide. This is creating an urgency to train more people in sales divisions who can assess customers' needs and offer quality products and services. We train such people through programs we have introduced. Examples in Europe are the Daikin Academy, where experienced employees and outside experts teach sales techniques and product knowledge; and the Daikin Sales Academy, which trains today's students to be tomorrow's business leaders. In China, Daikin has organized a system through which experienced employees impart important knowledge to their underlings.
The Daikin Group strives to support each employee who has the motivation to improve his /her knowledge and skills and offer them the best workplaces in which to do so.
