Start of Joint Research with Osaka University on Fluorochemicals
In April 2006, Daikin Industries started the Osaka University Daikin (Fluorochemicals) Joint Research Course. The course is part of Osaka University's joint research system, which is aimed at strengthening ties between the university and private enterprise.
Daikin Industries furthers the joint research by contributing funds and dispatching researchers. By combining Daikin's fluorochemical technology and Osaka University's technological expertise in catalysts and organometallic chemistry, this joint effort aims to make Osaka a hub of fluorochemical research. Aims of this project include the development and application of new materials and innovative technologies in fields like energy, green (environmentally friendly) chemistry, and biomaterials.
