Low operation sound

Quietness is yet another important feature of Daikin's VRV III-S system. To reduce noise and realise comfortable operation, latest technologies and features are applied to the outdoor units.

Operation sound level selectable from 3 steps for the night mode.

Mode 1. Automatic mode

Time of maximum temperature is memorised. The low operating mode will become active 8 hours^*2 after the peak temperature in the daytime, and operation will return to normal 10 hours^*3 after that. The operation sound level for the night mode can be selected from 47 dB (Step 1), 44 dB (Step 2) and 41 dB (Step 3).

• • This function is available in setting at site.
• • The relationship of outdoor temperature (load) and time shown in the graph is just an example.
• * The capacity reduction rate differs depending on the operation sound level step selected.

Mode 2. Manual mode

Starting time and ending time can be input.^*4

Mode 3. Combined mode

Combination of mode 1 and 2 can be used depending on your needs.

• *1. Determine which mode to select depending on the climatic characteristics of each country.
• *2. Initial setting. Can be selected from 6, 8 and 10 hours.
• *3. Initial setting. Can be selected from 8, 9 and 10 hours.
• *4. External control adaptor for outdoor unit, DTA104A61 or DTA104A62, and a subsequently obtained timer are necessary.
