Notice Concerning the Acquisition of Treasury Stock (Acquisition of Treasury Stock in accordance to Article 156 of the Commercial Code of Japan)

This is to hereby serve as notification of a decision taken by the Board of Directors of Daikin Industries, Ltd. at a board meeting held on May 14, 2007, to submit a proposal at the 104th Annual Shareholders Meeting scheduled for June 28, 2007, in accordance to Article 156 of the Commercial Code of Japan, as described below.

Reason for Treasury Stock Acquisition

To exercise stock option

Acquisition Details (Within one year after the closing of the annual shareholders meeting mentioned above)

1)	Type of Stock to Be Acquired	Common stock of Daikin Industries, Ltd.
2)	Number of Shares to Be Acquired	Up to 400,000 shares (Ratio to the total shares issued: 0.15%)
3)	Total Cost of Acquisition	Up to 2,200,000,000 yen
