In response to the devastation caused by the strong earthquake occurring on May 12th in the Sichuan Province of the People's Republic of China, the Daikin Group would like to donate the sum of 50 million yen in the manner of both cash and air conditioning equipment for public facilities.
In detail Daikin Industries, Ltd. is contributing 10 million yen through the Kansai Economic Federation (Kankeiren).
From the local companies of the Daikin Group in China, beginning with Daikin (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen McQuay, a total amount of 2.7 million yen (approx. 40 million yen) is being contributed to the Chinese Red Cross, including air conditioning equipment for public facilities and money donated by employees.
We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to all victims of the earthquake and wish for the swift restoration and relief in the damaged areas.
