Daikin Industries, Ltd. won the Energy Award given at the Lloyd's List Global Awards 2009 ceremony held in London on September 8, 2009.
The Energy Category of Lloyd's List Global Awards *1 is bestowed to an organization or individual who has shown "the highest levels of skills and environmental awareness in a most-demanding maritime sector."
Winning this award signifies that our business is contributing to lessening environmental impact by seeking various application fields of ZEFFLE Infrared Reflective Coating such as for factories, vessels, containers, tanks, and storages.
ZEFFLE Infrared Reflective coating construction applies a fluoropolymer-based coating to such surfaces as building roofs and ship decks to curb the rise of interior temperatures by reflecting sunlight. As a result, the coating reduces air conditioning load and adds to greater energy savings. Also, it contributes to a reduction in emissions of volatile compounds through the application of a chemical tank. Fluorochemical coating such as ZEFFLE shows corrosion and weather resistance and the reflective effect lasts for a long period of time and minimizes the number of coating applications.
We will further promote our business by taking the global environment in consideration as one of our corporate contributions to society.
