The red LED lamp lights. Does it denote a malfunction?

Answer :

The red LED indicator on the indoor unit panel lights when the air filters need cleaning.
Check and clean the air filters. After installing the clean air filters, open the front panel and press the Reset button.
(Air conditioners can operate with the LED indicator lit, but more electricity is consumed.)
