Answer :

[ In cooling operation ]

When the problem occurs during a cooling operation, it is caused by an abnormal increase of the refrigerant gas pressure caused by a defective heat exchanger (faulty heat dissipation) in the outdoor unit during cooling operation. Check to make sure the rear and front sides of the outdoor unit are not blocked by any objects. If the heat exchanger (fins) located on the back of the outdoor unit is dirty or clogged, it must be cleaned. As a temporary measure, pour a small amount of water on the heat exchanger (fins). This may enable temporary operation of the air conditioner.
(Caution) The amount of water to be poured should be about the same as water that comes out of a sprinkling can. If a large amount of water is sprayed under pressure onto the heat exchanger, water splashes on or enters the fan motor and electronic parts, and it can cause other problems such as insulation failure and the activation of the circuit breaker

[ In heating operation ]

When the problem occurs during a heating operation, the problem generated in the outdoor unit during summer has manifested in the indoor unit. This problem is often caused by dirty air filters. Clean the air filters. If the problem resumes after the air filters are cleaned, the heat exchanger may need cleaning. Have the inside of the air conditioner cleaned professionally.
