Daikin has a technology history spanning half a century in the air conditioning market. Inverter technology is one of those energy saving technologies that has evolved from that history, and one that we proudly present to the world. Inverter air conditioners optimally control the heating and cooling capacity corresponding to room conditions and reduce energy consumption by approximately 30% compared to air conditioners not incorporating inverter technology. And although almost all of the air conditioners currently used in Japan have built-in inverters, inverter air conditioners have a low penetration rate around the world.
It is our sincere belief that the sale and widespread use of air conditioners with built-in inverters in emerging markets can make a significant contribution to the reduction of CO2 emissions.
