To achieve this goal, it is necessary to engage in unceasing intellectual creation activities, such as technological development, and build up intellectual property (IP) as a result of these activities, and leverage this in our business activities.

The IP Department facilitates Daikin's intellectual creation activities , and strategically promotes not only converting their results into high-value IP rights as a source of competitiveness but also leveraging them as a tool for collaboration with others .

To this end, we are continuously working to cultivate the ability to accurately and deeply understand the contents of our technologies and express them precisely, as well as the competency of dialogue and negotiation to form alliances with people inside and outside the company using IP.

The IP Department will make every effort to formulate and implement a global IP strategy while making full use of IT technology.
