Aiming for the top echelon in world’s largest market of North America, Daikin is developing differentiated products for the region centering on the North America R&D Center, reinforcing local production with a new main factory of the acquired Goodman, and bolstering the sales network that includes startup of our own dealers.
Daikin is expanding its lineup of inverter units in each country. Production capacity, including for residential multi-split air conditioners, is being increased so that we can stably supply products in high demand to the market. As the middle-income segment continues to grow, Daikin aims to realize the No. 1 sales position in all major countries.
Daikin is constantly developing unique strategies for both products and sales to create new markets. With an aim for even higher earnings, efforts are being made to integrate development, production, sales and after sales service activities, including expansion of in-house production of key components and enhancing the function of the Shanghai R&D Center.
In the multicultural region of Europe, we develop business by creating a detailed sales strategy for each country. In addition to our major market of Southern Europe, we are accelerating dealer development in Central and East European markets. At the same time, we are also moving forward with reforms of our business structure, which include reducing fixed costs and improving cost competitiveness.
Together with strengthening the sales system and expanding sales, we are developing by regional localization and region-based marketing activities. In this way, we will create new customer value by not only incorporating air conditioning equipment but also peripherals in our aim to expand business.
