We will plant trees and offer comprehensive community support in approximately 11 million hectares around the world.
This project contributes to the realization of the SDGs by supporting locals to live while protecting forests, in addition to climate change countermeasures and biodiversity conservation.
Daikin Industries has been working on reforestation and forest protection activities since 2008 in Indonesia together with
Conservation International (CI) and since 2011 in Japan’s Shiretoko Peninsula with the Shiretoko Nature Foundation.
In 2014, we expanded our cooperation with CI to include projects in Cambodia, China, India, Liberia, and Amazon.
Founded in 1987, Conservation International (CI) is an international non-governmental organization with a staff of 900 in about 70 countries and working on global issues such as climate change to build a sustainable society.
For more than 20 years since its founding in 1988, the public interest incorporated foundation conducts environmental education and awareness raising, wildlife protection and surveys, and forest restoration activities.
