Since the establishment of the Regional Community Department in 1973, Shiga Plant has been working with local residents as the regional point of contact. Through plant visits, the annual summer evening festival, and area cleaning activities, we promote communication with local residents to deepen our relationship with and contributions to the community.
Plant visits by elementary school students in Shiga City
Every year on July 1st, "Lake Biwa Day," we participate in a prefecture-wide cleanup activity.
The summer evening festival organized by employees attracts more than 8,000 visitors each year.
Hands-on safety classes at the Shiga Plant provide employees with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of safety issues and increase their awareness through firsthand experience of controlled stressful situations.
In addition, industrial physicians conduct personal interviews and seminars to monitor and maintain both the mental and physical well-being of our employees and ensure approaches to problem-solving from multiple directions.
