Speaker from Daikin: João Manuel Aureliano, Senior Product Engineering Manager, Daikin Ar Condicionado Ltda.
More information: The PNQAI positions itself as a strategic framework for integrating health, architecture, and climate adaptation. By establishing measurable IAQ standards, promoting low-carbon HVAC technologies, and guiding the design of high-performance buildings, the PNQAI strengthens urban resilience in a warming world. Its approach encourages architects, engineers, and policymakers to embed ventilation, filtration, and energy-efficient climate control into the core of urban planning. As cities face rising temperatures, pollution loads, and extreme weather, PNQAI offers a blueprint for climate-aligned building practices—ensuring that resilience is not only structural, but breathable.

Japan Pavilion Exhibition (Blue Zone)

At the pavilion, Daikin will showcase its HVAC Solution that Prevents Overcooling and Achieves Significant Energy Savings through the Combination of Ventilation and Air Conditioning as a effective solution for reducing operational carbon. Demonstrations at Daikin’s own buildings have confirmed approximately 40%* reductions in power consumption compared with conventional ventilation and air conditioning methods.

Visitors will also experience a demonstration that recreates different humidity levels, allowing them to directly perceive how comfort varies even at the same temperature. Already commercialized and available in the market, this technology can be deployed globally as a practical contribution to reducing building-sector emissions.

*Based on verification at Daikin’s facility in Thailand in 2023.

Main Exhibition Details (Plan)

  • Current status of CO2 emissions from buildings and the reduction effects achievable with an energy recovery ventilator system
  • Comparison between conventional ventilation methods and this system
  • Hands-on demonstration showing how differences in humidity can affect comfort even at the same temperature
