Daikin Industries, Ltd. (the “Company”) hereby announces that the Company, and its U.S. subsidiaries, Daikin Comfort Technologies North America, Inc., Daikin Applied Americas Inc. and Thermal-Netics LLC (collectively the "US Subsidiaries"), as well as many other companies, have been named as defendants in a lawsuit filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan (the "Lawsuit") on March 20, 2026 (local time).
The US subsidiaries were served with the complaint on and after March 30, 2026. The Company has not been served with the complaint, but based on the public docket, the Company discloses the following:
The plaintiff has filed the Lawsuit as a provisional class action on behalf of those who purchased HVAC equipment sold in the United States on or after January 1, 2020, alleging that the defendants conspired to artificially increase prices for HVAC equipment, thereby causing damages.

In the complaint, the plaintiff seeks damages and other relief from the defendants, but no specific amount claimed by the plaintiff has been disclosed.
If the Company is served with the complaint, it will take appropriate action analyzing the content of the plaintiff's claims.
